This is the proper replacement kit for generators using the 0H6680A, or 0H6680B that have experienced a control board failure. The wiring harness on units with the A/B controllers will not allow you to use a 0h6680D. This kit includes the adapter harness that goes in between your existing harness and the new 0h6680D control board.
If you already have a 0H6680D control board, you do not need this adapter kit and you simply need to purchase a 0h6680d control board. You can purchase that control board here.

Generac's dealer network is garbage.
The first dealer I contacted came out and charged me $240 to tell me that I needed a new control board and wanted $1200 to swap it out. I had a 2nd opinion from another dealer who told me they no longer made a replacement control board for my unit and I had to buy a new generator. They charged me $150 for a service call. Extremely frustrated I went to google and ended up calling Magic Generator and within 10 minutes had it all figured out and my order was placed. After the install the generator would not run right. I called them back and once I described my issues, the tech Kenny knew exactly what was wrong and quickly fixed my mistake. How can a dealer 800 miles away from me provide better support than the 5 dealers near me, 3 of whom never returned my phone calls? I prefer to deal with people who I can talk to in person, but I was forced out of my comfort zone and I could not have been happier with how this turned out. Thank you so much Kenny.

I made a mistake ordering this kit, the cable harness is not compatible with the generator, and it was not needed, I wanted to return it for a $50.00 credit, but salesperson refused to accept a return of the cable harness.

Replacement Main Control Board
My generator ran fine, but the LED lights were pulsating and the microwave sounded funny. I checked the voltage and it was fluctuating so I knew it was a voltage regulation problem. Unfortunately, I had to buy the upgraded board kit because mine was no longer available. Fast shipping, great price compared to other sites. Fixed the problem.
